We absolutely loved it!
Here at KidsAndKaboodle.com we get quite a few products sent to us for review on the site. Recently we received a product that I was very excited about. It’s Wai Lana’s Little Yogis Kit for children. The kit includes a children’s yoga mat,Little Yogis video, asana poster with different exercises, and a cute tote to store everything.
I have to admit I was a little skeptical when I first looked at the video in the box, so I put it to the test with my 5-year-old son. We absolutely loved it!!!! We both did the entire hour-long video that night. The video is broken down into many different exercises, each introduced by an adorable, catchy animation. Wai Lana does an excellent job of keeping children’s attention while showing them some great exercise in the process. One rainy day I decided to take the video to work (I teach preschool to 16 three-year-olds). We broke the children up into groups of five and did the video. I couldn’t believe how interested they were in watching and participating!
I was so thrilled with Little Yogis that I emailed the company and told them how much I liked their product. They kindly supplied us with three yoga kits to give away for the next three months! Little Yogis is targeted for children ages 3 to 8 years old, but I have to say I think I enjoyed it as much as they did! The Little Yogis Kit would make a great holiday gift for any child.

Wai Lana’s Playful Yoga Video Is a Good Introduction for Kids
Wai Lana, longtime host of the PBS series Wai Lana Yoga, designed this program to bring the body-toning benefits of yoga to kids, with just enough fun to keep them interested.
The video begins with a question-and-answer session with questions only kids would ask, such as “What if I have to go pee-pee?” during the workout.
Then an animated segment introduces each move with a catchy song, sung by Wai Lana. After that we see Wai Lana surrounded by children in a park with the ocean in the background, teaching them the moves and doing them several times so the children can perfect them.
Wai Lana teaches in a very interactive way; for instance, she has kids blow up a balloon and slowly let the air out of it to show them how to breathe correctly while doing the poses.
This playful workout has kids pretending to be cobras, bears, butterflies, and beetles as they stretch and strengthen their growing bodies.
As we hear more reports of the growing obesity of children, it seems important to get kids moving in any way possible.Wai Lana’s Little Yogis is a great way to introduce fitness to your kids.

Wai Lana’s Little Yogis Kit
This unique yoga kit is based on a PBS series that encourages children to take up yoga. The kit includes a 60-minute video and yoga mat. It is designed to be a safe, easy, and fun way for your child to learn yoga. Pretend to be a cobra, bear, butterfly, bridge, tree, bow and arrow, and other fun things. The Yogi Mat has little cartoon yogis in action. It also comes with a convenient carrying bag and has an extra pocket for water and snacks. There will also be a CD coming out shortly; a collection of 21 songs that will encourage your child to dance, practice yoga, and relax as they ready for naptime. This kit is great fun and will help encourage your child’s concentration and relaxation methods. It is a great tool for developing their bodies, focusing their minds, and improving balance. They will be exercising without realizing that it is one of the most important activities that they can engage in. This product is of the highest quality and is definitely a contribution for any time of the year.

Geared toward children ages 3 to 8, this delightful introduction to yoga features noted instructor Wai Lana, who effectively uses songs and child-friendly explanations (“be like a tree”; “roar like a lion”) to encourage kids to find the fun, as well as the health benefits, of traditional yoga poses. Children of various ages demonstrate how to do the poses, and while some of the younger children are shown “wandering” more than exercising, this actually give parents reasonable expectations for what their children may accomplish at different ages. Parents will also appreciate many of the explanations of the possible benefits of the exercises, ranging from anger management to relaxing before sleep. Highly recommended.

Great for the classroom:
I am delighted by the way my students are captivated by Wai Lana’s Little Yogis video and how excited they are to do the poses.
The best gift you can ever give your child:
Wai Lana’s Little Yogis Kit is the greatest gift for kids and moms alike! My children are always eager to pull their little yogi mats out and follow along with Wai Lana to do the fun poses—they absolutely love her! Not only is it so much fun for them, but I notice how it noticeably calms my children down and relaxes them. In addition, I’ve noticed with my 4-year-old how much her coordination and balance have improved, and my 7-year-old is able to focus much more easily now than ever before. The poster is adorable and a great tool that makes it all the more fun for them. I highly recommend this video, hands down!
Children love yoga:
Wai Lana’s Little Yogis Kit is complete with mat, video, a poster of poses with instructions, and a carrying case.
The video is delightful. The first few minutes of the tape provide instructions in a question-answer format with children’s voices asking the questions and Wai Lana explaining yoga precautions such as doing the poses on an empty stomach and with bare feet. This segment is animated with the text printed on the screen.
The production is extraordinary and deserves the awards it has received. Interwoven with colorful animation and an outdoor classroom of children doing yoga with Wai Lana, the class includes exercises, breathing practice, and rest periods. Sweet music and animated animal segments help Wai Lana explain yoga. You and the children you buy this for will get a warm, fuzzy feeling watching the positive interaction among the students and with Wai Lana.
The yoga mat is one of those high-quality ones that won’t stretch out of shape with the moves and is decorated with helpful pictures of children in yoga poses. Completely washable.
The poster is colorful and shows a diversity of children performing poses, with easy-to-follow written instructions alongside each.
This video, mat, and poster set would be great for schools, kinder-exercise programs, and parents and grandparents to have on hand.
Also, an all-in-one gift for birthday or holiday.

Gentle and beautiful, much like Wai Lana herself, this new yoga tape for children is as much fun to do with your children as it is to watch. The scenery is beautiful and Wai Lana’s gentle voice puts you in a peaceful place straight away. My 5½-year-old commented on the songs which he thought were fun. The postures are easy to follow and the tape moves at a pace fast enough to keep a little one’s attention, but not so fast that they get lost. Children will have fun using their imagination to pretend that they are cobras or butterflies as they are stretching and exercising their mind and bodies. The relaxation part of the tape is a real gift that we can give our children. Imagine how the world would be in 20 years from now if all of our children learned to relax and take care of themselves! This tape is certainly a good starting point toward a peaceful future. Visit Wai Lana’s web site at Wailana.com to order the Little Yogis video and view other useful information, including delicious vegetarian recipes.
