Our bodies thrive when they are well-nourished, when we feel rested, and when we are living in harmony with nature. When those natural rhythms are disrupted over the long-term, our bodies natural immunity suffers and we are more susceptible to sickness and disease.
One kind of stress that threatens us more and more comes from the electronic devices we use regularly, such as cell phones, smart phones, cordless phones, laptop and desktop computers, tablets, and similar devices.
Their electromagnetic frequencies can cause us stress on a cellular level. A healthy cell will absorb nutrients and release toxins throughout the day. However, over-exposure to electromagnetic pollution causes our cells to hold onto toxins.
Although we live in an age where it is practically impossible to avoid exposure to EMF’s or electromagnetic frequencies, it is good to limit our exposure to this kind of pollution as much possible. What to speak of the safety, freedom, and appreciation for life that we gain by not being tied to our devices all the time.
Here are some ways to minimize your exposure to electromagnetic frequencies:
Turn devices on only when you need them
This is the best way to limit your exposure. Think of your phone like a stove or a hairdryer. You turn it off when you aren’t using it. If you are expecting an important call you might leave it on, but for the most part consider using it only as needed.
Distance yourself
The farther away you are from your cell phone/cordless phone, or computer, the less radiation you will get from it. So it makes sense to keep your phone away from your body when it’s turned on. Carry your phone in a backpack or purse instead of on your body and use speakerphone instead of holding it right up to your head while you talk.
For laptop computers, consider using an external keyboard and mouse so that you don’t have to rest your hands on it constantly—and avoid resting it on your lap for any length of time. Laptops emit the strongest frequencies when they are plugged in, so take a break while your laptop is charging. Definitely avoid charging your devices such as your laptop and phone in the same room as you sleep. In fact, it’s recommended to turn off all electronic devices in your bedroom while you sleep.
Other hidden dangers
Also be aware that X-rays, microwave ovens, television signals, and cell phone towers are all sources of electromagnetic radiation.
Get into nature
One of the best ways to distance yourself from EMFs and recharge your body is to take a walk in the woods, go swimming in the ocean, or lie in the tall grass, somewhere far away from the web of wifi and cell towers that dot the city. Take time in nature and give your body a much needed retreat.
