Are you struggling to eat your five servings of fruits and veggies daily?

Dust off your blender and let Wai Lana’s Favorite Juices add some color to your diet with its 88 mouth-watering juice, smoothie, and dessert recipes.

Who can resist a treat like Carrot Cake Cooler? It tastes like carrot cake, but without all the fat and calories. Or Berry Explosion, rich in antioxidants. And for you health nuts, there’s Sprout Sensation, with brussels sprouts, jicama, green bell pepper, apples, and garlic.

Wai Lana, one of the foremost personalities in the world of yoga, shares her recipes to help readers get in touch with nature and appreciate the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Lovely color photographs accompany the recipes, as well as a summary of the benefits and tips on altering the recipes. For instance, jicama can make the Sprout Sensation grainy. To avoid this, strain it before serving. And the benefits: The sulfur in brussels sprouts and garlic helps prevent cancer and tumor growth. Garlic and apple juices help remove toxic metals, such as lead, from your body. And garlic also fights viruses and harmful bacteria.

I bet your soda can’t do all that.
